We are living in a post–Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady world. The supermodel, who split from the Buccaneers quarterback late last year, was recently spotted on vacation in Costa Rica. In new photos from her trip shared by People, the 42-year-old is seen jogging with her jiujitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente.
Valente was also spotted in Costa Rica with Bündchen back in November. He accompanied her and her children on a trip to the country after her divorce with Brady was finalized.
Despite rumors to the contrary, a source told People in November that the relationship between Valente and Bündchen is strictly platonic and professional. “He and his two brothers are Gisele and the kids’ martial arts teachers,” said the source. “They are not dating.” Valente works alongside his brothers at a studio in Florida.
Gisele has been seeing Valente as an instructor for a while now. In February of 2022, she posted a video on Instagram of herself working with him. “I believe the more tools we have in our toolbox the better,” she wrote in the caption. “I feel stronger, more confidence [sic] and empowered since I started practicing self-defense. I feel it’s an important skill for all, but specially for us women. Thank you @ValenteBrothers for being awesome teachers and for making training so much fun. I am looking forward to keep improving. Let’s go!”
