Yeah, I’m thinking I’m emotional. Keanu Reeves and his long-term girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, tend to keep things pretty low-key and private, but the John Wick star just opened up about their happy life together, and it’s incredibly sweet.
After knowing each other for years, the pair linked up romantically around 2019 and have been together since. And their life sounds…great. Asked by People to describe his most recent “moment of bliss,” Reeves replied, “A couple of days ago with my honey. We were in bed. We were connected. We were smiling and laughing and giggling. Feeling great. It was just really nice to be together.” Good answer, sir. Love doesn’t cost a thing, and happiness isn’t some unattainable, elite achievement. It’s the simple things in life! Or so I have been told.
In case you’re not caught up on Keanu Reeves lore, the man is stellar at answering vague questions. When Stephen Colbert half-jokingly asked him what happens after we die, the actor said, “I know that the ones who love us will miss us.” I know! So sweet!
Another time, Reeves told Drew Barrymore that though he is “not a fighter,” he would fight for one thing: “If you don’t fight for your love, what kind of love do you have?”

His description of bliss also reminds me of one of my favorite celebrity quotes ever. In 1997, Johnny Cash filled out Vanity Fair‘s long-running “Proust Questionnaire,” and wrote…well, I’m just gonna drop it here:
