The year is 2022, but Rita Ora just wore an outfit that could’ve been plucked from the pages of a Delia’s catalog circa 2002.
On Saturday, December 17, Ora was spotted at The Aubrey Restaurant in the Knightsbridge section of London, wearing a Y2K-inspired look.
The outfit’s main event is a low-rise denim—wait for it—maxi skirt (bet you thought you’d never see those words together again, but here we are!). She paired the skirt with a baby tee and an extremely cropped cardigan, which is headed into bolero territory. I really don’t want to go back to boleros, Rita! Please let me live in peace.
But Ora did not stop there with the Y2K trends. Across her hips she sported a thick black belt with a large silver buckle, and on her feet she wore suede lace-up boots. She rounded out the look with hoop earrings, a long layered necklace, colorful statement rings, and a tiny pink sequined bag.
We’re not done yet! Ora wore her hair half up with some chunky pieces framing her face. To make this even more early 2000s, she wore a light blue creamy eye shadow with a glossy pink lip. This is all giving “The year is 2002, I have $20, and am spending it all at my favorite store at the mall: Wet Seal.”

Rita Ora also shared some personal snaps on her Instagram grid, which give a closer look at the outfit. She captioned the post, “Baby showziesss 🎄🎁🥰❤️🥂.”
