After so many major tours were canceled and postponed, 2022 and 2023 finally saw the return of concerts (and weddings!), and live event giant Ticketmaster has been feeling the heat from frustrated fans. Unable to keep up with demand while gouging buyers with exorbitant fees, Ticketmaster fumbled a Bad Bunny concert, the Bruce Springsteen residency, and most recently and famously, the Taylor Swift Eras presale. Swift herself expressed frustration with the company in a sharp statement, and the incident kicked off a congressional hearing over whether Ticketmaster is an illegal monopoly.

Has all the scrutiny prompted the company to clean up its act or at least make its website more usable? Apparently not. On February 1, tickets went on sale for John Mayer’s upcoming solo tour, and it’s the same old story all over again. Long wait times, lack of availability, scalpers and bots screwing up the system and raising prices. Frustrated Mayer fans took to Twitter to vent about their frustrations:
